It’s no secret that I am obsessed with Hawaii. There’s something magical about its people, climate and landscape… and maybe a little about its shopping too!

I took this picture years ago from my hotel room looking down over Waikiki, Oahu. The colour of the water gets me every time. I often take pictures on holiday with a view to how they could work in my home.

For this one? I’d to zoom in on that aqua water, cropping so the tips of the palms still show and blow it up really big for major impact – even a slight blurring of the image could add to the effect. Add a nice white frame and it’s good to go. Maybe you’ve got a gorgeous holiday snap that could be adapted for your own home?
